Study of CBD used in the treatment of opioid addiction exceeds expectations, creating a light at the end of the tunnel

The treatment of opioid addiction using CBD is hopeful, according to a new study. Cannibidiol, or CBD, was given to patients addicted to heroin and was found to reduce drug cravings, lower anxiety, and decrease levels of pain and inflammation that may have precipitated the addiction to the illicit drug.
